I can't get myself behind this idea that the US people need to collectively spend $700,000,000,000 to help finance money institutions that made poor lending decisions. Breaking it down to a smaller scale, I lend my 12 year old cousin $100 dollars, and then want his mother's friends to pay it back. Is that right? Okay, maybe it sounds silly like that.
Congress has released a statement that they are not accepting all email submissions through their website (the only way to write them due to filtering on the part of the government) because they are getting TOO MUCH INPUT FROM THE PEOPLE. Wow, OUR representatives are being told OUR opinion, and they say its too much, too loud.
At this time, I would like to point out that I don't know a single person who is unhappy that the initial bailout vote went south. I've batted around the idea with them that, if this goes through, maybe we should start exercising a little more civil action instead of running our mouths. Things like tax evasion. Or maybe running for office. One seems almost as bad as the other anymore.

First Post
For my blog ever, I thought I'd write something deep like "This is my first post." And now I could be done.
I'm about to head to GP for the weekend, taking Ben and Liz along. Should be an interesting time. I'm looking forward to the rafting and seeing Dennis and Kandas. Caitlin and Dave being down will be frustrating as always, because Caitlin's lack of dependability rubs off on Dave something awful. He doesn't excuse it or anything. Maybe I should go back to being Devil's Advocate on that. Just don't tell Dave. Or Caitlin.
